Hi, I’m Phoenix, a big, lovable 2-year-old boy weighing in at 83 pounds! You’d never guess it, but even with my size, all I really want is to curl up on your lap and soak in every bit of love I can get.
My journey hasn’t been the easiest. I was surrendered in Jackson County and made my way to Gigi’s, where some very kind people helped me find my fresh start. That’s when I met Dave, a Marine who served our country for 7 years with multiple deployments, and his wonderful wife, Sheryl. They were searching for a dog to share their adventures with, someone who could hike and even ruck alongside them.
Now I’ve found my forever place with them, and I couldn’t be happier. I get the best of both worlds: plenty of trails and outdoor adventures with Dave and Sheryl, plus all the lap time and snuggles a big softie like me could ever want.
I’m so grateful to VCAS and Gigi’s for helping me land exactly where I was meant to be.
