Hi, I’m Bella! And I think I’ve found exactly where I’m supposed to be.
I’m an 11-year-old, 10-pound mixed breed from the wonderful organization RESCUEDohio, and I love meeting new people, going on adventures, and being wherever my people are. After my previous owner passed away, I was looking for a new place to call home.
And then, thanks to VCAS, I met Barbara.
Barbara’s husband, Courtney, served in the Ohio Army National Guard, where he learned to fly helicopters and eventually achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Sadly, Courtney passed away before we had the chance to meet, but I know how much his service and their life together meant to Barbara.
Because military families are at the heart of what VCAS does, we were especially honored to still bring Barbara and me together after his passing. Now, I get to join her on adventures and spend plenty of time with her friends in the community. And Barbara gets to enjoy something she’s missed so much since losing her previous dog: having a four-legged walking buddy by her side.
I think we’re both pretty lucky to have found each other. Thank you to Amy and Koree for loving and fostering me while I waited for my forever home, and thank you to everyone who supports VCAS’s mission so I could find mine.
